Comparative Study; story reception in school One of the tasks in this project is to evaluate the use of the three books with the story of the Rainmakers. The first evaluation was carried out in May and June 2008 and the report on the use of the first part of the three Rainmaker books can be downloaded below. All partner countries carried out the survey and 181 schools responded.
The International Slogan Competition The project received several hundred slogans from the pilot schools in all 10 participating countries. Three slogans from each of the 10 countries were entered into the international competition. All slogans were translated to English and 9 slogans made it to the final. Among these, two slogans were from Bulgaria, two from Greece and one from Finland, Spain and Norway.
In Bulgaria more than 720 children from 17 schools participated in the competition. Greek Rainmakers provided CRES with more than a hundred different slogans. Some of them were accompanied by colourful drawings or pictures. In Brussels, the Belgium company ABEA will soon reword the three national winning slogans by organizing a Rainmaker?s event at their school.
The winning slogan came from Slovenia and was made by Natalija Vrta?nik - a third grade student at an elementary school in Voklo. The winning slogan translates as follows: "We for Earth - Earth for us".
